Shannon R. Lewis, MSN, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has completed a Master’s of Science in Nursing, at Lewis University. She attended Southern Illinois at Edwardsville earning her Bachelor’s degree in nursing and science.
Her professional experience has always been at Northwestern Medicine working in many specialties including surgical intensive care unit, trauma, transplant, gastroenterology, same day surgery, and Prentice Women’s Hospital Labor and Delivery. It was at L&D was Shannon’s enthusiasm for women’s health evolved. Working as a nurse then becoming a charge nurse for 10 years. Shannon is committed to providing diagnosis and treatment, as well as preventative measures to address the woman as a whole.
I believe every woman is entitled to the best care regardless of the situation. I believe you need to address the whole body, mind, and spirit. The Women’s Practice incorporates these qualities and empowers me as a Family Nurse Practitioner working in women’s health to make the best decisions I can for my patients.
